The Artemis program by NASA aims to not only bring astronauts back to the Moon but also to set up a lasting research station in orbit around it before this decade ends. At the same time, commercial ventures are advancing in their efforts to transport fee-paying adventurers deeper into the cosmos. As we extend our presence from Earth’s familiar grounds to the lunar surface and perhaps further, a fascinating new area of study is born from what’s often called the last frontier: astroforensics. This emerging field is driven by the unavoidable aspects of human behavior.
